Edgar S. Freeman received the Anne Arundel County EMS/Fire/Rescue Exemplary
Performance Award for performing the heimlic manuever on the Fire Administrator.
The Fire Administrator was choking and had a total airway obstruction. Edgar
performed the heimlic manuever, opening the airway and saving the Fire Administrator's
life.
