COMPANY 30 HOUSE FIRE PUTS ENGINE 121 AND C12 ON THE STREET

Sunday, January 22, 2012 Tonight after dinner the firemen from company 12 were dispatched as the third due engine on a box alarm in company 30's first due. BC2 arrived with a two story split foyer and fire showing from the first divsion side alpha. Engine 121 w/ 3 (FF Wolford) arrived the same time as Engine 181 and assumed second due picking up 181's plug. Crew from 121 deployed a backup line off 181. While waiting for the backup line to be charged both firefighters from 12 performed horizontal ventilation on the fire floor via the exterior and then deployed their line to the floor above. Finding heavy smoke and no extension crews from 12 proceeded to the fire floor and opened up for 18's lineman. Engine 121 and the Chief were in service in an hour.
